Patricia Vivas of the Addressing project of the Universal Postal Union pointed us in the direction of this Christian Science Monitor article on the rapidly improving state of addressing in Latin America. Ecuador and Colombia introduced postal codes last month, and reflect a very strong awareness among LatAm postal systems, and other government officials, of the many reasons postcodes and addresses are important.
