Basic Data | Digitaliseringsstyrelsen
ByBasic Data | Digitaliseringsstyrelsen.
The Danish government continues to set the bar on comprehending the nature and value of public data, and the implications of digitizing it and sharing it gratis throughout the country and the economy. This is The Basic Data Initiative.
Having proved some few years ago the economic value of a robust addressing system whose data is deployed for free into the economy, the Danish Agency for Digitisation Policy and Strategy, IT Architecture and Standards, now proposes to do likewise with all Basic Data.
The downloadable book is an eye-opener to what is available and what can be done with it. Many categories of basic data – real estate, businesses, individuals, addresses etc – are used by government administrations to perform their functions, and the administrative units are increasingly digitized and interactive.
Now it is intended to release this Big Data into the economy, without charge. Down load the book to learn what the authors anticipate will be the consequences.
